Google has given us some good news in recent years in the Android area, with Android 12 and Android 13 which introduced a new graphical interface, with new customization possibilities.

All of this is called Material You and corresponds to the new software interface that Google has introduced for Android users. The renovations are not finished and some are expected news for other sections of the Android graphical interface, such as the selector of Google wallpapers and themes.
The app we are referring to is the one that is integrated with the Pixel Launcher in Android 13. On Google Pixels it can be accessed via the long press anywhere on the home screen.
As you can see from the screenshots in the gallerythe new interface for Android 13’s theme and wallpaper selector provides a preview of the chosen wallpapers a full screenwhile the current design offers a preview that has a white box.
In the preview we see in overlay the button to set the image as system wallpaper or lock screen wallpaper.
What just leaked is still under development. Google is testing it as part of the Android 13 QPR2 released a few days ago. We expect the novelty to come with the next one Feature Drops of Android 13 planned for March 2023. This should come in parallel with the new lock screen shortcuts being developed, which we covered in this article.
