Hyundai is working on the new generation of the Santa Fe. A new forklift of this model was intercepted during a snow test session in Northern Europe. The SUV protagonist of spy photo still appears heavily disguised. However, some aspects of the design can still be noticed.
The shapes appear much more squared off. The shots then allow you to see part of the new headlights, the roof bars, and the design of the alloy wheels. The flat roofline, large overhangs and angular lines suggest a very different design to that of the current model. Size remains important. After all, the current Hyundai Santa Fe allows you to accommodate on board up to 7 passengers (depending on the chosen configuration). Nothing particular can be said about the rear as it is completely camouflaged.
There are no pictures of the interior. However, one can easily think that the automaker will introduce the same innovations that we have seen in its latest models starting from the large displays for the instrumentation and the infotainment system. Therefore, there will be much more technology than today. As for the engines that we will find under the hood, certainly Hyundai will still offer electrified units with Full Hybrid and Plug-in powertrain. We don’t know, however, if there will be technical innovations with respect to the powertrains currently offered.
The debut of the new generation of the Santa Fe is still some time away. Therefore, there will certainly be a way to find out more details on the development of this SUV over the next few months. It’s worth noting that the current generation of the Santa Fe hasn’t met with great success, especially in some markets. Thus, the new model will have the important task of boosting sales.
