Android Auto and the “operating system” by Google designed to work on car screens: among the most used functions, there is certainly navigation through apps such as Google Maps or Waze and media playback with apps like Spotify or YouTube Music. However, Android Auto also allows you to use other apps, such as an app to check the weather directly from your car.

So here it is Weather & Radara weather app that finally gets the full support for Android Auto and which therefore allows users to check the weather forecast directly from the car’s infotainment system.

At the moment, the app is still very simple in terms of use on Android Auto: from the vehicle you can only control the real-time forecasts, with satellite or radar view, but not future weather forecasts. Obviously the developers are working on new features and we therefore hope that this possibility will arrive in the future.

The app screen will update automatically based on the user’s location and it will be possible to make one zoom on the map to better check the forecast.

To use Weather & Radar on Android Auto just install the app from the Play Store (at least version 2023.3.1) and connect the smartphone to your car: the app will appear directly in the Android Auto menu. Obviously, at the moment the application is still quite limited and not exactly very useful, but we hope that new functions will arrive as soon as possible.
