Among the many news coming up Windows 11 we may see relatively soon some options to manage the RGB lighting of the accessories connected to the PC. This will allow gamers, or users in general who love the lights on their desktops or notebooks, to control them without the need to install third-party software.

The novelty was spotted byuser Twitter Albacore which identified the first traces of the new screens within the build 25295 disseminated to Insider users. According to the screenshots posted there are options to control the brightness of the lighting, light effects with speed and colors, all available within the basic interface of Windows 11, under the Settings. The user will also be able to synchronize the RGB effects with the main color used in the Windows theme.

The native RGB lighting management would allow users not to install the various dedicated apps, for example those of Razer, Corsair, Logitech and others. Each type of accessory often requires a different app, with the user being forced to download more than one, occupying storage space and system memory. What’s new in Windows 11 will allow you to have one instead basic lighting management for each compatible accessory.
Microsoft has not yet officially announced the news, but it seems that the company has begun to develop the functions at an experimental level. The new options may appear in the Windows 11 update expected later this yearalong with other enhancements such as support for third-party widgets, new Notepad features (such as tabs), a new File Explorer UI, and new system audio controls.
