Now that even Samsung has abandoned the Exynos road by relying on Qualcomm, at least for the processors of its Galaxy S23, the dualism between the two companies has strengthened even more. And in the last few hours MediaTek has presented a new how interesting model of processor.
We are talking about the Size 7200the smartphone processor that goes down in history for being the first of the medium range to be produced according to process a 4 nm. This is the same manufacturing process as the high-end Dimension 9200.
Its octa-core CPU consists of two performance-oriented cores performanceof the ARM Cortex-A715 type clocked at up to 2.8 GHz, and of six cores oriented to efficiency Cortex-A510 type.
The GPU is a quad-core ARM Mali G610 with display refresh rate support up to 144Hz.
The image processing unit supports the 14-bit HDR ISP standard, thanks to which the processor is able to support shooting resolutions up to 200 megapixels. As for the videos, the resolution is supported 4K HDR. From a gaming perspective, the new Dimension 7200 supports HyperEngine 5.0, which uses the Variable Rate Shading (VRS) based on AI for power saving.
Even the 5G is fully supported, as well as RAM speeds up to 6400 Mbps and internal storage UFS 3.1. In the first benchmarks it seems overcome Qualcomm’s consideration, lo Snapdragon 7 Gen1.
