Walk of Fame in Hollywood, all Italians who have been awarded a star

It all began in 1953, the year in which EM Stuart, president of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, decides to establish the Hollywood Walk of Fame to remember and celebrate famous people from all over the world. As stated on the official websiteprobably the project was inspired by walls of the dining room of the Hollywood Hotel, covered with stars with the names of some celebrities. The first 8 stars, assigned in 1958, bore the names of Ronald Colman, Louis Fazenda, Preston Foster, Burt Lancaster, Ernest Torrence, Joanne Woodward and Olive Borden.

Today’s Walk of Fame stars – positioned along up Hollywood Boulevard to Vine Street – are approximately 2,730 and continue to be considered one of the most exclusive awards. The news dates back to 2020 that the actor Giancarlo Giannini one of the Walk of Fame tiles will be awarded. The bestowal was postponed due to the pandemic and on February 1, 2023 it was announced that the ceremony will take place on March 6 this year.
