The more than 600,000 euros of investment raised between 2020 and 2021 have allowed the
Small Giants to develop its first products, today purchasable in ecommerce and present in physical stores in 10 countries. Furthermore, in Poland it has been selected by Żabka – the largest supermarket chain in the country – as the brand that will enter its stores. In Italy began working with, among others, with Vitamin Center and partnerships with other supermarkets will be announced shortly.
The first line of products offered for sale by Small Giants is that of Cracker Biteswith cricket flour, but soon more will come. With the growing awareness of environmental consequences caused by meat consumption, insect-based foods can be an alternative and sustainable source of protein. Some species of insects, including i cricketsrequire, in fact, very few resources for breeding but are also nutritious.
