Microsoft yesterday released the Moment 2 update at the end of February and among the parallel novelties the Windows 365 application was officially launched for everyone, both for the Windows 11 operating system and for old PCs with Windows 10.
The app allows users to access Microsoft Cloud PC servers and of course requires the activation of a Windows 365 subscription to be leveraged. Apparently Microsoft will include the application in all new installations of Windows 11.
As explained by Microsoft, the new application offers:
- Using a Cloud PC as window or full screen
- Reliable, high-performance experiences for Microsoft Teams, media redirection, and other Microsoft 365 apps
- User actions to restart, reset, restore, rename and troubleshoot right from within Windows
- A seamless single sign-on experience
- Support for Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and MicrosoftAuthenticator for secure access to Cloud PCs
- Accessibility through screen readers and keyboard shortcuts
- Regular and automatic app updates to ensure employees are using the most up-to-date version of Windows 365
