Xiaomi is ready to launch one smart watches with Wear OS 3? According to the latest rumors, the Chinese manufacturer would be willing to go down this road after launching Watch S1 and Watch S1 Active with the proprietary operating system on board MIUI WatchOS. This decision has caused the Chinese company’s range of smartwatches to lack some exclusive features, made available precisely by Google’s apps and services.

There are no further details at the moment, however it would have been confirmed, in addition to the presence of Wear OS 3, that everything will be managed by the same app “Mi Fitness (Xiaomi Wear)” that Xiaomi smartwatches already use. Furthermore, after the news, some would have highlighted an aspect involving autonomy. Indeed, over the years, Wear OS has not proved to be the “king” of autonomy, unlike the proprietary operating system of the Chinese brand. In short, Google’s software would allow you to implement a series of features at the expense, probably, of the battery.

In any case, before Xiaomi there are already some manufacturers who have opted for the use of Wear OS 3, starting from Samsung with his Galaxy Watch 5. Also Fossil with its various brands – including Diesel, Kate Spade, Michael Kors – has decided to turn to Wear OS, as well as Mobvoi with the alleged Tic Watch Pro 5. Therefore, Xiaomi should be added to these brands already this year. For further confirmation, however, we will have to wait for future news.
