Tesla decided to lower the price in Italy of Model 3 with single electric motor and rear-wheel drive to make it compatible with Italian incentives. This is certainly a very interesting novelty for those who were evaluating the purchase of the American car manufacturer’s battery-powered sedan.

As we know, Italian government incentives provide for a spending limit for the purchase of a new electric car. This threshold was set at 35,000 euros plus VAT, therefore 42,700 euros. To make the rear-wheel drive Model 3 eligible for the Ecobonus, Tesla has lowered its price to 41,490 euros (not on the road). Previously, this model cost 44,990 euros.

How much can you save? The incentive provides for a contribution of 3,000 euros without scrapping or 5,000 euros with scrapping. Pay attention only to the accessories. If the 42,700 euros are exceeded, it will no longer be possible to access the Ecobonus. It is worth noting that, at the moment, the Italian configurator highlights that the basic version of the electric sedan is only available to purchase from inventory (models ready for delivery).

The price cut, however, should continue, according to what is written in the press release, until the Ecobonus for electricity is available. In addition, Tesla points out that it has made more rear-wheel drive Model 3s available for delivery by the end of March for the Italian market, for “give customers the peace of mind they expect in relation to the delivery window imposed by the incentive program“.

Recall that the rear-wheel drive Tesla Model 3 with single electric motor can count on a top speed of 225 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds. The autonomy, according to the WLTP cycle, is 491km.
