Very soon Windows 11 will roll out a faster and easier way to manage all available audio sources, according to what Microsoft said in an official blog post (in SOURCE). The company has announced that it is rolling out the change in Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25309 for developers.

Start making your way a new mixer in the Quick Settings section on the system tray, which will allow users to adjust audio levels by app, as well as mute or unmute specific sources. In addition, a new keyboard shortcut will also be introduced that will allow you to access the volume mixer even faster.

Here’s how Microsoft describes the novelty.

We’re introducing a new Enhanced Volume Mixer in Quick Settings! The updated Quick Audio Settings experience features a modern volume mixer that allows for quick audio customization per app, with additional control to swap devices on the fly. We’ve also added a new keyboard shortcut (WIN + CTRL + V) to take you directly to the volume mixer for a faster control experience. With this change, you can now better customize your audio experience with more control and fewer clicks to better manage your favorite apps.

It also turns out that the new build is reintroducing an update to touch keyboard settings, some changes to File Explorer, graphics and input, as well as some improvements to voice access. The news comes a month after Microsoft also announced it was testing the first third-party widgets for Windows 11, including a widget that will allow users to see and make some changes to what they’re listening to on Spotify and a other which will allow you to access messages on Facebook Messenger .

The news also comes in the same week that Windows 11 received the big update at the end of February, and the new Windows 365 application, compatible with Windows 10 and 11, also recently appeared in the Microsoft Store.
