MINI it aims to become an electric-only brand starting in 2030. To achieve this goal, the automaker will launch several new battery-powered models over the next few years. In 2024, in particular, the debut of the new electric MINI Aceman whose contents were anticipated by the Aceman concept presented last summer.
The development of this model is moving forward and the future electric MINI Aceman has once again been intercepted performing the classics winter tests in Northern Europe. For the automaker, an opportunity to put the mechanics of its new car to the test in extreme climatic conditions. Even more important tests in the case of an electric car given that the manufacturer will be able to verify the correct functioning of the batteries and the recharge in the presence of very low temperatures.
This model will replace the MINI Clubman and will be offered in an electric-only version. The CarSpyMedia video allows you to appreciate once again the shapes of this car, although the bodywork is still covered with films to hide the details of the design.
However, we can observe the shapes of the headlights that reflect those of the concept car. At the rear, however, you can see the presence of light clusters with Union Jack-style graphics. The dimensions should not deviate much from those of the concept presented last year. Therefore, the new electric MINI Aceman could have a length between 4.1 and 4.2 meters.
This new model will bear on a new platform developed by the BMW Group and the Chinese Great Wall. At the moment, there is no specific information regarding the powertrains of the electric MINI Aceman. Even when presenting the concept, the car manufacturer did not want to provide particular details on the mechanics. Therefore, all that remains is to wait for the arrival of more information on the development of this car.
Before the electric Aceman, MINI will also debut the new generation of the Countryman which will also be offered in a 100% electric version. Car which will be based on the FAAR platform of the new BMW X1 and which will be built in the BMW plant in Leipzig in Germany.
