Moneyweb is looking for a dynamic and innovative marketing manager to join our team in Johannesburg.
Responsibilities include implementing marketing functions for Moneyweb into the current audience and expanding the brand into untapped markets.
Moneyweb is a financial media group and a wholly-owned subsidiary of AME. We focus on producing independent, high-quality investment news on various platforms, including online, radio, print, newsletters and through our various event activations.
Job description:
- Market Moneyweb’s branded platforms to existing and new audiences
- Develop the marketing strategy for the company, in line with company objectives
- Manage marketing budgets
- Drive event activations with Moneyweb’s stakeholders
- Coordinate marketing campaigns with sales activities
- Oversee the company’s marketing budget alongside management
- Plan and implement promotional campaigns
- Market Moneyweb as a brand to new audiences and advertisers
- Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity
- Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications
- Creating a wide range of different marketing materials
- Work closely with the editorial and publishing team and assisting with new product launches
- Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives
- Build brand awareness and positioning
- Negotiate trade exchange and promotions with existing and potential clients
- Handle marketing-related administration
The following skills are required:
- Relevant qualification and 3 to 5 years’ experience within the sector
- Financial media experience
- Experience with creating a marketing campaign, marketing strategy and marketing plan
- Experience with online marketing, including social media, and content marketing
- Excellent social media skills, especially the marketing of products
- Experience in coordinating and executing events
- Experience in trade marketing and interaction with agencies
Salary is negotiable.

The position is Johannesburg-based and is available from 1 June 2023.
