Acer unveiled about ten days ago Swift Edgethe notebook with 16-inch OLED “lightest in the world” according to the Taipei company. Thanks to a construction based on the minimization of dimensions: the use of an alloy between magnesium and aluminum has made it possible to keep the thickness below 14 mm and the weight at 1.17 kg, record values. It even weighs less than a MacBook Air M2 (1.24 kg) which also has a much smaller display (13.6 inches).

Acer Swift Edge also thrills business users. The company promises benchmark performance and the safety guaranteed by the use of a specific chip – the Microsoft Pluton – to keep cyber threats away, from the fingerprint reader and from the Noble Wedge Lock attack.
