The news of the so-called ‘mega leak’ of Grand Theft Auto 6 has rocked the entire gaming industry. However, the violation suffered a few hours ago from Rockstar it was not the only one: also Blizzard Entertainment falls victim to a content leak that allowed an unidentified user to disseminate some confidential materials. The latest leak therefore concerns Diablo 4another highly anticipated title that is shown in a long gameplay footage.

Caution: since this is a leak, we invite anyone who does not want to ruin the surprise to avoid clicking on the links that refer to the leaked content. We, on the other hand, will avoid describing in detail what is seen in the videos posted on the net.

Diablo 4: 43-minute gameplay is circulating online

As reported on Reddit by user iV1rus0, two videos uploaded to files (.) fm would show Diablo 4 in action. The movies appear to be coming from from a preliminary version of the RPG, as evidenced by the different watermarks that appear on the screen and the incomplete appearance of the game’s scenarios. The material shared online consists of ben 43 minutes of gameplay.

While the aforementioned GTA 6 leak was caused by a hacker (such teapothuberhacker), the Diablo 4 videos had been broadcast on a private Discord server. Watching the first video it is in fact possible to witness a conversation between two spectators, complete with modulated voices: the first spectator urges the other to watch the livestream of a user called ‘Skye‘, while the latter tries to guess which title he is playing – curiously, the latter mentions a new game from The Witcher and a hypothetical sequel to TES V: Skyrim.

As anticipated, we won’t go into too much detailbut suffice it to say that the feedback shared by ‘curious’ Reddit users is largely positive. Someone praises the greatness of the game world – which would justify the aforementioned comparison with Skyrim – while some less enthusiastic users point out the presence of some interface indicators that would refer to daily activities and others typical elements of Game as a Service (GaaS).

In addition to the changed voices of the two Discord viewers, other information may allow Blizzard Entertainment to easily trace the source of the leak. In all likelihood, the American publisher will soon share a statement in which he will comment on the story.
