Amazon Launchpad is Amazon’s program to support startups in launching new products or services. To stimulate and promote innovation, the company launched Amazon Launchpad Innovation Awards, an annual competition to reward the brightest ideas. In the second edition, held in 2022, the award for best startup went to the English Petit Pli, which makes sustainable clothing. WinLet: Security Watch’s anti-aggression device
Security Watch is an active reality in the world of security (physical, not IT) that it has developed WinLet, a personal defense device. Not a weapon, but a powerful one siren that emits sounds at high frequencies to dissuade the bad guys in case of aggression. WinLet can be connected to the smartphone via an app to send a help message to the selected contacts, who together with the alarm will also receive the position of the person who asked for help, a position that will be updated in real time.
In addition to this, WinLet relies on an operations center that will have the task of immediately calling the contact who sent an alarm: if he does not respond, the police will be contacted and sent to the site.
