On our pages we have often talked about BorgWarnerUS supplier to the automotive world, which in the last two years has worked hard to perfect its products dedicated to the change taking place, that of switch to electric.
With a business that continues to grow, BorgWarner now collects another success, thanks to a manufacturer (for now undeclared) who requested the transition to 800-volt inverters. The customer is defined as a major global OEM, and was already using BorgWarner 400-volt inverters.

But as we know 800 volt platforms are becoming increasingly popularespecially for the ability to support higher charging powers, and it seems that this client is doing just that, in view of the new generation of electric cars.
The American company will be able to supply two variants of the silicon carbide inverters. One from 250 kW which will be aimed at a crossover and AWD car, and a second from 350 kW, intended for a high-performance vehicle. Mass production is planned for 2025, with peak of 400,000 units.

Meanwhile BorgWarner continues to report excellent financial results, with revenues expected to be between 1.5 and 1.8 billion dollars in 2023, practically almost a billion more than in 2022. only from the electric vehicle business. With these new orders, the forecast is to reach a turnover of 4.3 billion dollars in 2025.
