Another great novelty responds to the name of Crash Detection and, as the name suggests, will allow Watch Series 8 owners to protect yourself from any traffic accidents thanks to an additional compartment of sensors designed specifically for these critical situations. Using two motion sensors, a three-axis gyroscope and a new accelerometer, the smartwatch can recognize four different types of impacts and, in the most extreme cases, start emergency calls in a completely automatic way.
As far as aesthetics are concerned, there are no substantial innovations. In fact, Watch Series 8 repeats the same design seen on the devices of the Series 7 range, launched just a year ago.
For Watch Series 8, and beyond, Apple finally introduces the Low Power mode, which limits some features of the smartwatch to extend the autonomy of the device. It will be available for all released devices after Series 4 and compatible with watchOS 9.
