Arrives in Italy ASUS ROG Strix Scar 18, ultra-high performance gaming notebook presented last month at CES 2023 in Las Vegas along with many other novelties from the ROG range. The company says the ROG Strix Scar 18 (G834) was designed with esports enthusiasts in mind.
It’s a powerhouse to satisfy gaming enthusiasts, an adaptation of a desktop PC into a laptop, built with high-end components that help gamers be at the heart of the action with performance pushed to the max. It’s the first ever ROG laptop with a 18-inch Nebula displaywith Quad HD resolution with a refresh rate that reaches 240 Hz. The 17 and 16-inch variants will also arrive soon.
ASUS ROG Strix Scar 18 is equipped with:
- 18-inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixels) 16:10 display with 240Hz refresh rate
- processor up to Intel i9-13980HX with 24 cores and 32 threads, frequency 2.2 GHz peaking at 5.6 GHz
- 1TB M. 2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 Performance SSD (RAID 0) and 32GB DDR5 RAM
- GPU up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 series with Advanced Optimus
- an advanced and complex heat dissipation system:
- Heatsink constructed in three different sections, surrounding the motherboard with densely packed fins for a total surface area of 195,509mm², an 82.5% increase over the 2022 Strix Scar 17
- third fan for GPU and VRAM cooling
- seven heatpipes and Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal on both CPU and GPU
- Dolby Atmos
- two-way noise cancellation with AI
- 64 or 90 Wh batteries, 100 watt USB-C charger
