To encourage the spread of electric cars, it is important that there is a widespread charging infrastructure in the area facilitate energy supplies, especially the “fast” ones to facilitate long-distance journeys. The Atlante company we mentioned in the past fits into this context. It is a reality of the NHOA Group, born from the collaboration between Stellantis, NHOA and Free2move eSolutions.
We recall that Atlante aims to install 5,000 fast and ultra-fast charging points in Italy, France, Spain and Portugal by 2025 and over 35,000 by 2030. The network that will be created is destined to become the preferred network of the Stellantis Group . To carry on this project dealerships will also be used of the group as sites where they will be installed energy supply points.
In this regard, Atlante has announced that was inaugurated its first Italian fast charging station inside a Stellantis Group dealership. Specifically, the infrastructure was built at the Automagenta concessionaire of the Stellantis network.
The Atlante company, in concert with the automotive group, is working with multiple dealerships throughout Italy to build many other rapid charging stations in their offices. Therefore, the next step for Atlante will be the installation of other charging stations at additional selected Italian dealerships.
As he tells Stefano Terranova, CEO of Atlante, a special team has been set up which will have to respond to the needs of the numerous Stellantis dealers interested in hosting the stations. The new charging point will be accessible to all electric cars, 24 hours a day.
In addition to Italy, Atlante is working also in France where the first fast and ultra-fast charging points will soon be available at selected Stellantis Group dealerships. Cyrus PopeManager of the e-Mobility Business Unit of Stellantis Italia, commented:
Today we see the concrete result of the partnership with a prestigious player, Atlante, which aims to make fast and ultra-fast charging points available to all citizens in spaces located within the network of Stellantis dealerships. In this case, the realization was possible thanks to the collaboration with an important entrepreneurial reality in the area, the Automagenta dealership, which understood and perfectly embraced the Stellantis mission. The energy transition does not take place in a day, it is a process that will require certain times, but initiatives of this type give those who undertake them an important competitive advantage with respect to the future scenario that will take place.
