Auburn Community Hospital in Auburn, N.Y., is planning a new cancer treatment center, according to the website auburnpub.com.
Situated on 1.14 acres, the $14.4 million expansion project will enable the hospital to add radiation oncology services to its existing cancer treatment offerings.
The 12,000-square-foot center will include seven exam rooms, a consultation room, CT scanner room, linear accelerator treatment vault, controls rooms, patient treatment planning/dosimetry space, and eight infusion rooms.
The hospital is partnering with Rochester, N.Y.-based developer Park Grove Realty and Upstate Medical University Hospital (Syracuse, N.Y.) on the project. It’s expected to be completed within one year after construction begins.
