Biden says white supremacy is the nation’ s biggest threat. Where are those white supremacist rascals?

President Biden spoke at the Harvard University convocation a few days back, where he told his audience ,white supremacy, The biggest threat to the country. I’m not buying it.

I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a majority-Black city. Our mayor is African American. Our police chief is African American. Our superintendent of schools is African American, and African Americans are well represented on the city council and school board.

Are there white supremacists in Baton Rouge? Perhaps, but they are well hidden. If President Biden knows where they are, I want him to point them out to me.

Everyone agrees that the United States has a shameful racist past. In 1955, an African American boy was lynched by a racist mob in Mississippi. Even today, I’m sure there are pockets of toxic racism across the United States.

Still, the nation has come Public schools have come a long way since the Supreme Court desegregated them in 1954. The nation elected its first African American president in 2008, and our current vice president is a black woman.

I am deeply struck by President Biden’s remarks, which can justifiably be described as race-baiting. Saying it certainly wasn’t helpful to a mostly black audience.

President Biden’s embarrassing speech reminds me of a passage from Solzhenitsyn’s novel, cancer ward, The problem with Stalinist socialism, one character observed, is that you can never hate enough. You can never say I’ve had enough hate. From now on, I’m going to love.

Just as the soulless bureaucrats of Stalinist Russia were constantly finding more people to vilify and ostracize, Biden is constantly finding more ways to divide Americans than unite us. He is like the wealthy plantation owners in the Reconstruction South, who pitted poor whites against poor blacks and thus prevented both groups from prospering.

But maybe I’m giving President Biden too much credit. We all know that when the President gives a speech, he only reads what is placed in front of him. Perhaps it is President Biden’s speechwriters who are spreading the hate, not the President himself.
