Requirements
a) 7-10 years of relevant full time work experience in planning/ designing/ implementation of urban transport systems. b) Experience in working with public sector organizations and government agencies is desirable c) Strong ability to employ qualitative and quantitative research methods; familiarity with statistical analysis software and geographic information systems(GIS) is essential d) Experience in preparation of Master plans/ infrastructure plans/ neighbourhood plan etc., e) Should be able to manage multiple assignments with little supervision f) Experience in project with focus on urban development, urban renewal, neighbourhood improvement, street and public space design through multidisciplinary, participatory, community- driven approach g) Should be well informed with quantification of data collected from the preparatory phase to the on-ground implementation to delivery of any planning related project h) Should have ability to self-manage and meet deadlines i) Should be able to present technical information in a clear and concise manner (Reports/ Presentations), with excellent written and spoken English skills j) Proficiency in Kannada is desirable
Job
Responsibilities
1. Assist the Connectivity and Asset Management team with lending compliances and documentation 2. Undertake assessment of Transit Oriented Development plans and development control regulations norm for the TOD zones from planning perspective 3. Design and manage projects from the preparatory phase to the on-ground implementation to delivery, with adherence to timelines and attention to quality of output 4. Liaise with other departments within BMRCL and with DULT, BMTC and other public agencies and government bodies at the city level 5. Evaluate appropriateness of the proposals recommended by the consultants 6. Prepare technical reports, policy notes, presentations and other documentation materials 7. Preparing conceptual and schematic design drawings as per the planning and design norms, municipal bye laws and technical requirements of industry 8. Undertaking urban development initiatives as per the priorities of state government 9. Taking responsibility for one or more projects completely and preparing the project road map, deliverables and timelines.
