Presenting the data for the first half of 2022, the BMW Group gave some details on the new products that will arrive in the future. The German car manufacturer continues to move on a double track, launching new models offered both with internal combustion engines and 100% electric. CEO Oliver Zipsein this regard, confirmed that the the new BMW i5 will debut next yeari.e. the BEV version of the next generation of the BMW 5 Series.
And speaking of electric models, the new BMW i7, produced on the same assembly line as the iX, 5 Series and 8 Series models, will arrive in dealerships starting in November. By the end of 2022, including pre-series models, the BMW Group will produce 15 BEV models. By 2025, it aims to deliver a total of two million fully electric vehicles to customers.
Furthermore, the German group will work to ensure that, by 2030, electric cars represent at least 50% of the cars delivered. BMW is also interested in hydrogen technology. For this reason, a small production of a Fuel Cell version of the BMW X5 will start towards the end of the year. Furthermore, the automaker has made it known that it is already thinking about a new generation of this vehicle.

The CEO also provided some more small details of the new Neue Klasse platform that will be used starting in 2025 and which will allow the automaker to accelerate its presence in the electric car market. The platform will reportedly initially debut in a 3 Series sedan and a sporty SUV.
In addition, the Neue Klasse can also be used for a new family of Fuel Cell vehicles.
