BMW is present at the Essen Motor Show 2022 where it brought a particular version of the new M2, personalized thanks to a series of BMW M Performance accessories specially created for this model. Specifically, a series of new elements have been created for the front, rear and sides which make it possible to make the look of this sports car more aggressive.
These components are all made in carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) to keep the weight as low as possible. We find, for example, the new M Performance Carbon side skirts, the M Performance Carbon rear diffuser and the M Performance Carbon rear spoiler. All these elements are not limited to personalizing the aesthetics of the sports car. In fact, they also improve aerodynamics, helping to make the sports car even more effective when cornering.
BMW has also equipped its M2 with a new one M Performance Titanium exhaust system which in addition to weighing 8 kg less than the original one, allows you to enhance the sound of the 6-cylinder engine. The customization of this particular version of the German sports car also involved the interior. We find, in fact, M Performance Carbon / Alcantara upholstery, the armrest covered in Alcantara and much more. The catalog of M Performance accessories is very extensive and allows customers to customize their car as they wish.
We recall that the new BMW M2 has a 3-litre M TwinPower Turbo 6-cylinder capable of deliver 338 kW/460 hp with 550 Nm of maximum torque. Traction is rear. The sports car has a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited). With the optional M Driver’s Package selected, the top speed is up to 285 km/h. Both a 6-speed manual gearbox and an eight-speed M Steptronic automatic are available.
Thanks to this particular model brought to the Essen Motor Show 2022, the German brand wants to show the customization potential of the accessories in the M Performance catalog. Accessories also available for other models in its range, in particular for M models such as, for example, the new BMW M3 Touring and the new BMW i4 M50.
