Brabus P 900 Rocket Edition, the Mercedes-AMG G63 becomes a 900 hp pickup

The automotive sector is changing a lot with the advent of electrification. Fortunately, the urge for hasn’t changed Brabus to transform i Mercedes models into something special. The preparer’s last project is the Brabus P 900 Rocket Edition based on the Mercedes-AMG G63. This model that will be made in 10 copies it is very particular as Brabus did not limit itself to some modifications to the engine and to the aesthetics. In fact, the tuner has profoundly revised the Mercedes-AMG G63 transforming it into a sort of Ultra High Performance Pickups (the basis is that of the Brabus 800 Adventure XLP).

Let’s start with the engine. The Mercedes-AMG G63 can count on a 4-liter twin-turbo V8 capable of delivering 430 kW (585 hp). Brabus has decided to deeply overhaul this unit, increasing the displacement to 4.5 liters, updating the turbochargers, introducing a new exhaust system and making several other changes. The result is an engine capable of deliver 662 kW (900 hp) with 1,250 Nm of torque (electronically limited to 1,050 Nm to safeguard the transmission). The gearbox is a 9-speed automatic.

The performance is truly remarkable given that the top speed is 280 km / h (electronically limited) and to go from 0 to 100 km / h it takes just 3.7 seconds.

As mentioned at the beginning, the base is that of the Brabus 800 Adventure XLP. It is not the first time, in fact, that the tuner has transformed this Mercedes model into a pickup. In this case, however, the body kit with carbon fiber elements it is much more aggressive, perhaps even “too much”. Special feature, the bonnet has a transparent part from which the engine can be seen.

This model can also count on 24-inch BRABUS Monoblock Z “Platinum Edition” Aero-Disc alloy wheels. The interiors have also been customized where we find, among other things, carbon fiber finishes. However, customers will be able to customize the interior according to their tastes. The only limit, as always in these cases, is the budget available. Yes, because interested parties will have to prepare themselves for pay out at least 649,638 euros plus VAT. A figure that can rise with further customizations.
