The last prevention rules against Covid-19 they have been send to the attic through the changes made to the infamous “rave” decree, transformed by the Meloni government into a fruit salad of provisions. Among many, the end of green pass and swab to get out of isolation, but also there suspension, until 30 June 2023of the fines of 100 euros for unvaccinated people over 50 years old.

One thing needs to be clarified right away: the decree has so far only been modified by the Senate. And it has not yet been converted into law, nor published in the Official Gazette, therefore at the moment all the sanitary regulations still remain in force. The conversion into law is in fact envisaged for the days following the Christmas break, by 28 December, which will then be followed by publication in the gazette. The changes will therefore only come into effect from the day following their publication.

The number two of the Ministry of Health believes that vaccines have not played a role in containing the lethality of the coronavirus. The data, however, says otherwise

Buffers and isolation

As a first step, the executive decided to cancel the obligation to carry out a test (fast or molecular) to get out of isolation, after contracting Covid-19. At the end of the 5 days it will therefore be possible to return to normal activities, but the decree does not specify what happens if the person still has symptoms after the fifth day. It will be a subsequent circular from the Ministry of Health to clarify.

The duration of the regime was likewise reduced self-surveillance for those who have entered or come into contact with positive people. The term of 10 days has been reduced to 5, always with the obligation to wear the Ffp2 mask in case of gatherings, and it will no longer even be mandatory to submit to swab once the self-monitoring period is over.

Green pass

The government then repealed all the measures that allowed theaccess to residential, social welfare, social health and hospice facilities as well as in the wards of hospital facilities, as visitors or escorts, only to people equipped with green pass. The use of the green pass has also been eliminated for patients in social and health facilities who want to leave temporarily.
