The Bharatiya Janata Party has achieved a hat-trick in Goa by winning 20 seats in the 40-member Goa Assembly. The party will be forming government in the state with the support of 2 MGP (Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party) MLAs and three Independents.

Yogi Adityanath had contested UP Elections 2022 from his stronghold, Gorakhpur Urban. He defeated Samajwadi Party’s Subhawati Upendra Dutt Shukla by a margin of 103390 votes.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami submitted his resignation along with that of his cabinet to the Uttarakhand Governor Gurmit Singh. The move comes after Dhami lost from Khatima constituency to INC’s Bhuwan Chandra Kapri by a margin of 6579 votes despite BJP reporting a comfortable victory in the Uttarakhand Assembly Elections 2022 with 47 seats in the 70-member assembly.

This paves for AAP to form the first non-Congress and non-Akali Dal government in Punjab.

Yoon Suk Yeol, the conservative beat Democratic party’s Lee Jae-myung in one of the most closely fought elections, with the final count separated by less than 1 percent vote. He will succeed incumbent South Korean President Moon Jae-in, who could not seek reelection, as the nation’s constitution limits a president to a single five-year term.
