The government he decided to extend the cut in excise duties until 21 August. With the government crisis underway, there were doubts whether it would be possible to extend this measure again, designed to try to contain the price of a full tank of fuel. In the last few hours, the news had filtered out that they wanted to proceed with the extension anyway, despite the difficulties of the Draghi government.

So, through an inter-ministerial decree of the Treasury and the Ministry of Ecological Transition, the extension to 21 August has arrived. As we know, the latest intervention had moved the deadline for the cut in excise duties to August 2. Previously there was also talk of a wider intervention, with an extension that could reach a couple of months. Evidently it was decided not to proceed in this direction. It should also be remembered that the monthly cost of cutting excise duties is around 1 billion euros.

For a good part of August, it will be possible to continue to dispose of this measure without which a full tank of petrol and diesel would reach costs that are hardly sustainable for families and companies. We remember that on petrol and diesel the cut in excise duties 25 cents per liter plus VAT. For LPG, on the other hand, the reduction of 8.5 euro cents plus VAT.

According to the latest data from Quotidiano Energia, in self mode, petrol it has an average cost of € 1,984 per liter, with the different brands ranging from € 1,973 to € 1,990 per liter (no logo € 1,982 per liter). The average price of diesel in self mode is 1.938 euros per liter, with companies between 1.932 and 1.947 euros per liter (no logo 1.938 euros per liter).

Moving on to costs in served mode, the average price of gasoline of € 2.128 per liter, with colored systems that charge prices between € 2.061 and € 2.193 per liter (no logo € 2.034 per liter). Diesel, on the other hand, stands at € 2,085 per liter, with companies ranging between € 2,022 and € 2,141 per liter (no logo € 1,991 per liter).

The average price of LPG is between 0.826 and 0.842 euros per liter (no logo 0.813 euros per liter). Finally, methane is between 2,054 and 2,343 euros (no logo 2,150 euros).
