More than a year ago, Sony heralded the arrival of Discord on platforms PlayStation. A partnership that will allow users to PS5 – and, probably, those of PS4 – to take advantage of the popular platform of voice chatdirectly from your home console.
Several months have passed since the announcement, yet users still cannot access the messaging service from the latest generation console. From the rumors circulated on the net we come to know of a possible date for the fateful Discord integration.
Tom Henderson: Discord on PS5 starting March 8, 2023
During the weekend, Tom Henderson shared some advances about the imminent arrival of Discord on PlayStation 5. The insider, particularly well-known in the videogame sector, assures that the news in question would have already been confirmed by several sources, including the same that provided the first details about the reveal of the DualSense Edge controller.

Well, in the report Henderson reads that Discord integration will only happen with the launch of PS5 firmware 7.0.0. The reporter reminds us that version 6.0.0 will arrive next month and that the next major update is scheduled for early 2023.
Within hours of the aforementioned publication, Henderson updates his Twitter followers by revealing the release dates of the next updates of PS5. The 6.0.0 software update will arrive on September 7, 2022, bringing with it the highly anticipated 1440p resolution native support. Subject to further changes, the launch of the firmware 7.0.0 set for l‘March 8, 2023.
And just like that, the release date of 7.00 gets updated to March 8th, 2023. ðŸ¤
Version 6.00 is September 7th, 2022.
So Discord integration on the PS5 is March 8th, 2023 (if nothing else changes).
