DJI Ronin 4Dfor friends ‘Hen‘, for the movements of the ‘neck’, is a super stabilized filming system launched in October 2021 by the Chinese drone giant.
DJI Ronin 4D combines the Zenmuse X9 stabilized camera, a 4-axis mechanical stabilization system, a LiDAR focusing system, and a video transmission and control system in a single solution. We are talking about a 4-axis stabilization system as the module integrates a mobile mechanical arm, on which a three-axis motorized gimbal head is mounted. The mechanical arm makes it possible to compensate for vertical motion with a wide excursion, thus adding a further stabilization axis compared to the previous three-axis versions. In this way Ronin 4D allows real steadycam shooting with total compensation of vertical motion, for example that induced by the operator running or walking. Ronin 4D integrates an Active Track Pro system for tracking subjects, borrowed from drones and gimbals and further improved for professional productions.
DJI Ronin 4D Flex
Today DJI presents Ronin 4D Flex, a solution that allows to give the system even more flexibility of use by allowing operators to separate the stabilized Zenmuse X9 camera from the main body. In this way the weight of the system in the hands of the operator is considerably reduced, leaving all the recording and image processing part (together with the battery, connections and accessories) on the body. Ronin 4D Flex connects to the main body via a 2m ultra-thin coaxial cable, which supports up to 8K lossless transmission.
DL PZ 17-28mm T3.0
New today is also theDL PZ 17-28mm T3.0 scope, DJI’s first cinema-quality zoom lens. In particular, the new lens benefits from total integration with the proprietary system and allows for ‘native’ focus and zoom when used on Ronin 4D.
Apple ProRes RAW on Ronin 4D Activation License
News that many were waiting for and which, however, did not seem destined to arrive is the availability of Activation license key for Apple ProRes RAW encoding on Ronin 4D, now available for purchase at the DJI Store. This paid option promises to make integrating Ronin 4D footage into cinematic productions even easier.

The activation license key for Apple ProRes RAW for Ronin 4D will be available for purchase today at www.dji-store.it at the price of €1009.
