fans of Dragon Ball all over the world have woken up (or have gone to sleep, depending on the time zone!) with unexpected and very pleasant news. After 16 years of waiting, the Budokai Tenkaichi series is about to return with a new chapter just announced!

The news came at the end of the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2023, the tournament that was held yesterday and saw the Japanese triumph Fenritti. Many expected some news regarding Dragon Ball FighterZ (for which a patch was announced for current generation consoles last year), but Bandai Namco amazed everyone by releasing the first teaser trailer of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4; you can find it below!

The movie is very short and retraces the previous chapters, showing us some clips from the fan-loved Dragon Ball-inspired fighting game. At the end, however, we find something different: the graphics make a huge generational leap and show us a Goku ready to transform into Super Saiyan Blueconfirming that a new title in the Tenkaichi series is in the works and which will obviously include characters and transformations from Dragon Ball Super.

At the moment there are no details regarding the timing of the release and the chosen platforms, but it is obvious that this is an experience designed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and PC, while the possible support for old generation consoles is to be discussed, which we expect to be completely absent. Obviously it will be necessary to understand if the game will also land on Switch (FighterZ is there, for example) or if perhaps it will arrive directly on the new generation Nintendo console, since it is very likely that the next Tenkaichi will not arrive before 2024.
