Eager to try the MIU 14? Here’s a taste of it with the new wallpapers

Last Sunday, December 11, Xiaomi has unveiled its new 13 series smartphones along with MIUI 14 and ad some devices like the earphones Buds 4it smart watches Xiaomi Watch S2 and even a mini PCs.

Unfortunately to try the latest iteration of theproprietary interface of Xiaomi based on Android 13 it will have to wait some time (the company has not yet revealed its plans for the global launch), but everyone can get a taste of it immediately thanks to the wallpapers.

There MIUI 14 it is a minor update of the MIUIand Xiaomi has focused above all on some improvements from the point of view of efficiency and of privacy, at least by company standards.

Wallpapers are divided into ben 66 static wallpapers And 7 dynamicsome of which are inspired by Apple and others inherited directly from MIUI 13. Now you can apply them immediately to your phone.

Static wallpapers MIUI 14 are divided into 8 categories: Light Cycles, Glassy Light, Shadow Geometry, Natural Texture (slightly modified from MIU 13), curves, Colored Glaze, Crystallization (same as MIUI 13) e Macaron (appeared with Xiaomi Civi 2), as well as the abstract ones of MIUI 14, and all of them have roughly a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.

Light Cycles

The dynamic backgrounds on the other hand are just from the series Light Cycles and are only present as .mp4. Here you find our guide on how to apply them, but briefly here’s how:

1. Install the free app Video to Wallpaper
2. Open up the app
3. Touch the+ icon in the lower right corner
4. In the pop-up window, tap the button Choose to select wallpaper from your device’s internal memory
5. Select the video you prefer
6. Touch Okay to select the video
7. Touch Okay on the next screen to confirm your selection.
8. The selected wallpaper will appear on the home screen of the app. Touch the button apply to proceed to the next step.
9. Another pop-up window will appear with instructions on how to apply the wallpaper. Touch Okay
10. Select Video to wallpaper on the following page
11. You will now see a preview pane with a button Wallpaper set down. You can tap this button to proceed to the next step or select the option preview (Preview) in the upper right corner to view the wallpaper in full screen mode
12. If you touch the button Set wallpaper a message will appear asking you to select where you want to apply the selected background. You can apply it to home screen or be at home screen that at lock screen
13. Choose and the background will be applied
