The Galaxy S23s aren’t official yet, although they will be soon, but already we talk about Galaxy S24 Ultra, the most awaited variant of the 2024 range. Opening the game is Ice Universe, among the insiders perhaps the one who pays more attention to what is happening around Seoul because, as he recently admitted, he has always been an admirer of the Samsungs.
The insider revealed on Twitter that on Galaxy S24 Ultra Samsung should bring something new about the zoom camera: “The telephoto lens should be replaced with a new solution”he wrote, while the main camera it should remain almost the same as what we will see shortly on the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to replace the telephoto sensor and adopt a new solution. I think the main camera will remain the same or be slightly changed.

We have more than a year ahead of us to see if Ice Universe’s prediction is spot on, and possibly what will this consist of new solution. But we may already have a clue. LG Innotek has announced that at CES 2023 in Las Vegas in the next few days it will bring a new telephoto lens for smartphones capable of one continuous zoom between 4 and 9 times compared to the standard focal length. A bit like “real” cameras.
It is clearly unlikely that Samsung will knock on LG’s door asking for a sensor to be included on its 2024 flagship, but the direction taken by LG – evidently successfully, if you see it at CES – could also be taken by Samsung.
