Getir eats Gorillas competitors

Turkish Getir, the pioneer company in home delivery of groceries and also active in Italy in Rome and Milan, eats up the competition. The group has announced the acquisition of Gorillas, a delivery company based in Berlin, a sign of a consolidation of the sector similar to that underway in food delivery. Rumors of the move, anticipated by Bloomberg and now confirmed by an official note, they had been circulating for eight hours.

Getir was founded in 2015 as a home shopping service, and today operates in nine countries on three continents. “The ultra-fast grocery delivery industry will grow steadily for many years to come, and Getir will lead this category which he created 7 years ago“, says Nazim Salur, founder of Getir.
