i) A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. (ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments 2 from time to time as the case may be or have been awarded Ph.D. degree from National Institutes of Importance are exempted from NET/SET: (iii) Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bye-laws/Statutes of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in University subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:- a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode; b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners; c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted; d) The Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal; e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC / ICSSR/ CSIR or any similar agency.The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following: (i) Quacqarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) The Times Higher Education (THE) OR (iii) The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai) In addition to the requirements specified above, the following mandatory requirements shall be applicable

Instructions

Candidates should register their names in the office of the Assistant Registrar (Teaching), Administrative Office, Goa University half an hour before the scheduled time of the interview. Application on plain paper addressed to the Registrar, Goa University, bio-data with self-attested copies of caste certificate and certificates pertaining to educational qualification shall be submitted at the time of registration. Candidate shall produce the original certificates for verification during the interview. University reserves the right not to fill up the position/cancel the process at any point of time without assigning any reasons and no expenses/refund shall be payable to any applicant in such cases.

1. (a) A Master degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC seven-point scale. (b) At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs. 7000 and above or with 8 years of service in the AGP of Rs. 8000 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration, OR Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education. 2. Officers from the Finance and Accounts Department/Services of Central/State Government as follows: (a) Officers drawing grade pay of Rs. 8700/- with three years of experience; OR (b) Officers drawing the grade pay of Rs. 7600/- with eight years of experience. 3. (a) Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accounts of India OR (b) Fellow of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. The eligibility of the candidates will be subject to fulfilling any one of the clauses i.e., (1) or (2) or (3) above.
