Returning to the problems, the company worked to overcome two bugs which prevented motorists from interacting safely with their phones while in the car. The first mainly affected the devices OnePlus, Samsung, Xiaomi and other manufacturers. In practice, users only saw black screens and messages that were impossible to interact with. The fix for this bug was released on August 26th and, according to user feedback, it seems that the problem has been overcome.

The 2nd bug fix, on the other hand, was released on September 2 and particularly concerned i Samsung folding, starting with the brand new Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4. The problem consisted in the impossibility of connecting the two devices to Android Auto and, when successful, it was not uncommon for them to disconnect. In this regard, therefore, Google has released a patch that should remedy this problem. Obviously, it may take a few days for the update to reach all users.

Finally, Android Auto 8.0 was released a few weeks ago. The news, however, were not many and above all there was a “strong” absence, namely that of the new interface known by the code name Coolwalk.
