Corach Rambler won the Grand National 2023 backing up its status as the 8/1 favourite.

The race, which was delayed after protestors breached the Aintree racecourse fence, saw Mister Coffee and Coko Beach lead early on.

And after chaotic scenes saw a number of fallers, the thrilling race saw winning jockey Derek Fox hold off both Vanillier and Gaillard Du Mesnil.

Defending champion Noble Yeats finished fourth, with Fox, now a two-time Grand National winner, detailing his pride at the victory.

“He is just a phenomenal horse. I can’t believe it. He normally gets his head up a wee bit but today he travelled everywhere. He is the cleverest horse. He is so intelligent.”

The race attracted criticism from animal rights protestors in the build-up, with three arrests made in connection with potential co-ordinated disruption activities at Aintree, which became nine following the disruption before the race.
