Harbor Air a small airline that started operations in 1982 with just two seaplanes, to provide transportation service in the forest and coastal areas of British Columbia, Canada. Today the largest seaplane company in North America, and in 2019 it started a electrification plan.

The goal is to try to transform all its seaplanes in 100% electric, so as to eliminate the emissions of the 40 aircraft, for about 300 flights a day. It avails itself of the collaboration of MagniXa well-known manufacturer of electric motors for aircraft, and more recently also of that of H55an expert in modular batteries.
The joint development led to a test flight with the renamed seaplane eBeaverwhich flew from a location near Vancouver International Airport to Pat Bay, Victoria.

The flight, of about 72 kmand lasting 24 minutes, it played perfectly and smoothly, and the eBeaver still had a good reserve of energy when landed. The test demonstrated the feasibility of the conversion, also thanks to the magni560 engine, with 560 kW of power. We will now continue with the improvement of the work carried out, so as to arrive at the commercial certification of the FAA and Transport Canada.
