If you have a Pixel 6 and some features on the new Pixel 7 have made you tempted to buy them, be patient for a moment. In fact, it would appear that some new software will soon land also on “older” models through future updates. Talking with “PhoneArena”, Google apparently confirmed this indiscretion. Specifically, on the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro it could arrive “Clear Calling”, a mode that improves the quality of phone calls thanks to a greater cleaning of background noise.

On these models it should also be released “Guided Frame”, a feature that leverages Google’s AI focus on new chips to help blind users take selfies. Pixel 6 users could also benefit from the enhancements provided by “Real Tone”, an option that increases image accuracy. To these, finally, will also be added “At A Glance” and transcription of audio messages. In short, for the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro we could almost speak of a “second youth”.

However, there is not only good news. In fact, it would seem that “Face Unlock”, or unlocking the phone via the face, will not be released on models prior to the Pixel 7. To be precise, a spokesperson for Google, on “Caschys Blog”, denied the arrival of this function on the other models. In this sense, however, we will see. Finally, still staying at Pixel 7, a few days ago the complete technical data sheet of the new “Tensor G2” processor was released, a chip that mounts an octa-core CPU, with different types of cores: two “large cores” Cortex X1 2.85 GHz, two 2.35 GHz Cortex A78 “medium cores” and finally four highly efficient 1.8 GHz Cortex A55 cores
