Many of you will surely love customization, especially on your electronic devices. Unfortunately the Android operating system, by default, does not allow you to customize different graphic aspects to your taste, including fonts.

In fact, the Google operating system, if you do not like the font that your mobile phone uses by default, does not allow you to change the font in such a way as to get close to your taste. The only options available on Google, after all, only allow you to change the font size and display sizeor the activation of bold and high contrast text.

Fortunately, though, mobile phone manufacturers and their customizations come to the rescue, which add new functions to Android, including the one that affects font editing. Among other things, to change the font it will also be possible to use third-party apps. In any case, following this guide precisely you will not have many problems in changing the font that your mobile phone will use.

How to change fonts on Samsung

The Samsung One UI is certainly a rather effective and above all feature-rich Android customization. Among the available options, could not miss the possibility to change fonts. How? Simple, we see it immediately.

First you need to press “Settings” (the gear wheel icon). Subsequently:

  • Press on “Screen”;
  • Click on “Font style and size”;
  • Click on “Character style”.

In this section you can select the font you like best. Furthermore, there is the possibility to download new ones, including some for a fee. To do this, just click the down arrow icon and then click on “Install”. If you want to go back to the default font, go back to the “Character style” section and set the “Default” one.

Finally, in this section the font size can also be changed and set “Bold” or not.

How to change font on OPPO / Realme

So far, we have seen how it is possible to change fonts on Samsung. It does not take many steps and above all there is the possibility to download a lot of them (even if not all of them are free). But this option is only available on Samsung phones or even on those OPPO / Realme, whose graphic interfaces are based on ColorOS?

The answer is “ni”. In fact, basically only the font size and the display size are possible. After all, the only font available is the default one, that is “Roboto”. To access these settings, you need to:

  • Click on “Settings”;
  • Press on the item “Screen and brightness”;
  • Click on “Font and display size”.

So is it impossible to change fonts on OPPO and Realme phones? In theory, something can be done, and that is to download the .apk file from the official OPPO theme store (which devices sold in Italy do not have). It should be clarified, however, that this procedure could cause damage to your mobile phone.

In any case, after having found, downloaded and installed the OPPO official themes store, it will be sufficient to locate the “Font” item and from there it will be possible to choose the one you like best (after having identified it, you will need to press on “Apply” ).

How to change font on Xiaomi / Redmi

So far, we have seen that on Samsung phones it is possible to change fonts without any complex steps. On the OPPO and Realme devices sold in Italy, however, it is not possible to change the font, but only the font size. However, by taking the path of modding – which is not within everyone’s reach – it is possible to remedy this absence.

Another very popular Chinese brand in Italy is undoubtedly Xiaomi (including Redmi mobile phones). Is it possible to change the font on these devices? We’ll see. After going to “Settings”, you need to press on “Display”. Here, however, there is only the option that allows you to change the font size. In short, no opportunity to change the font. However, don’t despair.

Through a little “trick”, in fact, it will be possible to activate the option that will allow you to change the font. You will only need:

  • Click on “Settings”;
  • Click on “Additional settings” and then on “Region”;
  • Select “India”.

This change doesn’t change anything, not even the basic settings. However, will allow the “Themes” application to add a rather interesting entrythat is the one that allows you to change the fonts (not available in Italy).

After opening the “Themes” app, in fact, just press the icon with the “T” inside a box and from here it will be possible to select the font that best suits you. To return to the default one, however, it will be sufficient to always open the “Themes” app and then click on the icon with the avatar in the bottom bar and select the “Roboto” character.

How to change fonts with a third party launcher

For Android devices that are not equipped with an option to change the font, you need to install a custom launcher. Among them, one of the most interesting is certainly “Action Launcher” (free download).

After downloading and installing the app, in fact, it is sufficient:

  • Click on “Action Launcher Settings”;
  • Click on “Appearance” and then on “Font”.

From here you can choose from a number of different fonts. Those available are not manyhowever, it is already a step further than what Android Stock offers.

Other launchers that allow the same option are “Go Launcher” And “Smart Launcher”. In short, even for owners of mobile phones with Android Stock, albeit with a few more steps, it will be possible to change the fonts to your liking.
