Qualification
M.Sc. degree in Physics/Maths or B.E/B.Tech, with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade (aggregate) from a UGC recognized University or Institution. Candidates with B.Sc. degree in Physics or Maths may also be considered if they have substantial experience in astronomy or science outreach as a full time job for at least a year.

Responsibilities
The candidate will be stationed in Mysuru and work at the University of Mysore campus. They will be required to travel within Karnataka (or at least southern Karnataka) for coordinating outreach programs. They will also need to spend time in Bengaluru for training purposes as required, and will work under the supervision of the COSMOS Education and Public Outreach Committee. – Coordinate the design and implementation of the various education and outreach projects of COSMOS, including project management, – Work with the University of Mysore to conduct outreach events for their students, as well as supervise their student volunteers for COSMOS programs, – Supervise creation of resource material in digital form, hard copies, and in translation in Kannada, – Conduct programs for the students and teachers in Mysuru, – Coordinate and conduct regular outreach events in the towns in the neighbouring districts

The appointment is purely temporary on contract basis and does not confer any privilege or benefit applicable to regular employment. The tenure of appointment is initially for a period of one year and extendable annually for maximum five years (including initial one year) subject to satisfactory performance of the candidate assessed annually and requirement of the Project. 3. The remuneration indicated is a consolidated and is inclusive of all allowances. 4. There will be annual increase of 3% in the remuneration based on satisfactory performance. 5. The date of determining the upper age limit, qualifications and experience shall be the date of the walk-in interview. 6. Age relaxation is permissible to SC, ST & OBC candidates and also to physically handicapped candidate as notified by Government of India from time to time. 7. It is open to the Institute to conduct written test to shortlist the candidates for interview in case the attendance of candidates is more 8.
