The pan-European charging network, born from the union of intentions of different car manufacturers, is entering what has defined the phase 2.0which plans to build approximately 600 additional stations by 2025, with 6-12 chargers for each site.

Ionity currently has 22 stations in Italy, for a total of 114 chargers, all with European CCS Combo socket standards, and another 9 stations are under construction (Lecce, Naples Afragola, North Rome, San Benedetto del Tronto, Civitanova Marche, Conegliano, Mondov, Cavagli, and Affi).

The place chosen on parking of the shopping center in Via Pascoliwhich will also see the construction of a photovoltaic shelter to cover the new structure, so as to generate part of the necessary energy on site, which in any case it will all be certified as 100% renewable. Of the 18 stations, 2 will be dedicated to commercial vehicles or with trailers.

Affi therefore becomes more and more a nerve center for electric mobility, where one of the largest Tesla Superchargers already stood, and with free fast and slow columns made available to all motorists. But over the years the Municipality has become the protagonist of cutting-edge initiatives, when already in 2012 it inaugurated the first 1 MW photovoltaic park inserted in a road roundabout.
