Letter to the editor: Ironic “autocracy” speech

OPINION:

President Biden’s recent lecture on autocracy being “the rule of one: one person, one interest, one ideology, one party” lacked introspection — and was sadly ironic in its applicability to his own administration.

While Biden is cherry picks presumptive threats to democracy and remains apparently unconcerned about actual threats, such as people stuffing ballot boxes, the Democrats have co-opted the media and weaponized the Department of Justice and the FBI. They have unjustifiably targeted Donald Trump and repeatedly targeted Trump associates in pursuit of compromising plea bargains. All of this epitomizes the tactics of the socialist state, the real threat to democracy.
