The Washington Times recently ran a surprising article: “EXCLUSIVE: Most Californians back booting gas-powered cars but worry they can’t afford EVs” (Web, Oct. 7). So let me get this straight: The “left coast” wants to shut down motor vehicle transportation (i.e.; no gas cars), but it can’t afford EVs.

I guess that means there will be more gas and oil available for the rest of the country.

Since cars won’t be available in California, public transportation will have to pick up the slack. Oh, wait — those will be run on electricity that is generated around the country from fossil fuels before it ‘s dumped into the electrical grid so Californians can call it “green.”

Words matter. Definitions matter. Common sense matters. Left-coasters just make them all up as the go.

The new immigration problem is going to be on California’s eastern border — again a steady stream of people walking toward a better life.
