Mate 50 anticipated by Huawei: cameras, satellite connectivity and battery

Huawei Mate 50 will be revealed soon, indeed, very soon: the appointment is for September 6, that day we will meet the new top range of the Chinese company which, for the occasion, he will bend over backwards. There will in fact be – this is reported by the indiscretions – four distinct models, Mate 50E, Mate 50, Mate 50 Pro and Mate 50 RS. And if a good day starts in the morning, let’s expect a good success of the series, at least on the national market, because the pre-orders are going very well. Another issue, as we know, will be its availability and diffusion in the West.

The CEO Richard Yu he wants to keep the focus on the upcoming product, and he does so during an interview in which he reveals three aspects that will characterize the series.

The attention given by Huawei to the photographic sector is certainly not something new, and also this year we expect excellent results in the shots from the Huawei Mate 50. Part of the merit will be due to XMAGE system, exclusive technology with which the company intends to look forward after years of collaboration with Leica (now completed). XMAGE will be based on a NPU developed internally and built based on HiSilicon and no longer on the Qualcomm Snapdragon ISP.

There satellite connectivity it seems to be there new fashion of the year: after all, the technology is now ready, and Google and T-Mobile / Starlink have already announced news in this regard. Huawei will also participate in the same game with Mate 50, which apparently will be compatible with satellite connectivity initially for sending text messages in case of emergency. Apple would also be working on a very similar solution.

And with Mate 50 HarmonyOS 3 will arrive on the market: little is known yet, but apparently the new version of the operating system will be able to

• keep some functions active even when the battery is exhausted (see payments via NFC)
• make calls even when the battery is exhausted (it remains to be understood how: will there be a small emergency battery? The battery will be unique but once completely discharged will it keep a small percentage of charge in case of need?)
