WEST LONG BRANCH, New Jersey (WABC) — A shelter in place has been issued at Monmouth University due to a possible armed suspect at the school in West Long Branch, New Jersey.
Monmouth University Police were notified of a possible armed suspect on the main campus around 9:15 p.m.
The university alerted students and faculty who were ordered to shelter in place and await further notice.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office tweeted that multiple agencies are on the scene searching for the suspect.
