Qualification
Post Graduate Degree in life sciences OR Graduate/Post Graduate degree in professional course. M.V.Sc./M.Tech./MSc./M.Pharm Degree in Biotechnology Biochemistry/Microbiology/Immunology with first division. The candidate should have minimum two-year research experience preferably as JRF (Eligibility criteria as per DST OM No.SR/S9/Z09/2012 dated 21.10.2014 and SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated 30.01.2019). NET/GATE qualified candidate will be preferred.

NIAB is aimed to harness novel and emerging biotechnologies and take up research in the cutting edge areas for improving animal health and productivity. The Institute’s focus of research will be on Animal Genetics and Genomics, Transgenic Technology, Reproductive Biotechnology, Infectious Diseases, Bioinformatics and Nutrition Enrichment. The institute aims at translational research leading to the development of novel vaccines, diagnostics and improved therapeutic molecules for farm animals.
