Official ColorOS 13: OPPO's touch on Android 13

OPPO today unveils the ColorOS 13new major release of the interface based on Android 13. The latest version of Google’s operating system was released only a few days ago and OPPO wanted us to be among the very first to update its smartphones: ColorOS 13 is in fact available today for Find X5 and Find X5 Pro.

Design and Homescreen

The first and most evident change of ColorOS 13 is the aesthetic one: with this version theAquamorphoc Designa new interface inspired by the movements of water, which also includes a new card layout and a new font which improves the readability of the texts.

News also forAlways-On Displaywhich is enriched with new animations called Homeland (showing the effects of changing temperatures on some animals and their ecosystem), but also support for Bitmoji and contextual information, such as listening to music or real-time updating for a food delivery.

Many small changes also in Control centerwhich has a new layout and some redesigned toggles for greater convenience, and in the Homescreenwith new widgets and the ability to enlarge folders.

Finally, there are the new ones Blossom Wallpaperwallpapers that aim to visually show the hours we spend with the smartphone, through a bud that blooms and then withers (if we exceed the expected time).

Improved performance

Interesting news also in terms of new functions and performance improvements: in terms of functionality, users who also use other OPPO devices will benefit from the great changes to the Multi-Screen Connect, which allows you to share the clipboard between smartphones and tablets and to easily transfer files from one device to another. Furthermore, as regards the interaction with the PC, there is also the possibility of having up to three screens (the Home + 2 app) of the smartphone on the screen of your computer.

As for performance, however, OPPO introduces the Dynamic Computing Enginea set of technologies that improves the autonomy of the device and at the same time increase the number of apps that can be in the background. And then there is also Meeting Assistantan algorithm for internet packet management that prioritizes video calls (Meet, Zoom and Teams) to ensure a better conversation experience.

Security and privacy

In addition to all the news in terms of security and privacy introduced with Android 13, OPPO also adds a private space (Private Safe) where to store encrypted photos and documents with AES algorithm and function Pixelate carwhich one-click hides photos and names from screenshots of a conversation.

Compatible devices

The first smartphones to receive ColorOS 13 are Find 5X And Find 5X Pro: for them, who will be among the very first devices to have Android 13, the update is available from today.
