One UI Watch4.5 brings a lot of news: the QWERTY keyboard and Dual SIM support arrives

Samsung is preparing to release a new update for its smartwatch of the series Galaxy Watch: the company has in fact announced the One UI Watch4.5a firmware customization Wear OS 3.5 which will arrive on all Samsung devices running this version of the operating system. With the One UI Watch4.5 finally comes a new, more “complete” way to write texts on your smartwatch: the first novelty concerns one full QWERTY keyboard, which can obviously be used via Swipe (i.e. dragging on the letters to compose the words, without clicking on any single key). This writing mode joins those already present, such as the voice dictation and handwritingand you can switch from one mode to another without problems.

The second important change concerns the calls: In fact, the One UI Watch4.5 simplifies the way in which you make phone calls via smartwatchespecially with regards to the Dual SIM management. A new interface clearly shows which SIM you will make the call with, and obviously you can set a default SIM directly from the clock.

They certainly could not miss the new possibilities for customizing the watch faces of the Galaxy Watch: with the One UI Watch4.5, you will be able to select various different styles for a watch facewith the latter that can be added to the list of favorites several times (each time with a different style), so as to be set up more quickly.

This new update also includes interesting new features to make the use of a smartwatch more accessible. Users who have difficulty distinguishing colors they will be able to adjust the display to their favorite hue and increase the contrast to make characters easier to read. They will also be able to reduce transparency and gradient effectsas well as remove animations. For those with hearing problems, there comes the possibility of balance the sound from the left and right outputs when Bluetooth headphones are connected.

From the settings, it will be possible extend the duration of the touch on the screen or disable repeated inputs. Also, they can recall your favorite actions using the buttons on the smartwatch. Samsung has specified that all accessibility settings you can choose from a single menuso as not to create too much confusion.

The public launch of Galaxy One UI Watch4.5 is scheduled for third quarter of this yearand in addition to the novelties described above, other features not yet announced will also arrive.
